Osborne Plans to Interview Gill; Booster Plane Arrives in Baton Rouge

Through the magic of the internet, Husker fans have tracked a plane owned by a Norfolk booster on a flight from Lincoln to Baton Rouge this afternoon, as reported by Nebraska State Paper and the Lincoln Journal-Star.

The plane is registered to Norfolk Iron & Metal Co, in Norfolk, Neb. The president of that company is Richard A. Robinson, whose family received the Clarence Swanson Memorial Award from Nebraska's Football Hall of Fame in 2006. The award is given for "outstanding contributions to the University of Nebraska and the Husker athletic department." Robinson also paid $750,000 for a 10-year lease on a skybox in Memorial Stadium.

Also, the Buffalo News reports that the University of Buffalo has granted permission to Nebraska to talk to Bulls head coach Turner Gill.

The plane, The plane

It went to LSU where Bo reportedly got on but it is unclear if he was still on when it went to Atlanta.

KNOP out of North Platte reported tonight that the plane is to leave in the morning and go to Buffalo where it is believed that TO will interview Turner Gill.

Wouldn't it be great if TO could pull off having Turner as HC/OC  and talk Bo into coming back as DC. Or Bo as HC/DC and Turner as OC until Bo leaves and then he would become the HC/OC and we could bring back someone like Marvin Sanders as the DC.

Wow would I like to be a fly on that plane.

Anyone else

getting the feeling we will know who the new coach is later today or early tomorrow morning? I am predicting we will know by 6:00pm today. TO will fly to Buffalo this morning and then back to Lincoln and will hold a press conference to make the announcement. Of course he is 70+ so he may be to tired and wait until morning. Although if the job is given out to someone they will have to tell their boss so I am sure it will get leaked long before the press conference. So again I will predict that we will know by 6pm tonight.

Think we'll know...

by Friday for sure, maybe Wed.  Not a huge rush, get the best guy and be sure to interview Brian Kelly.
