Please use this thread to discuss the Nebraska - Kansas State game and any other games you might be watching today.

  • Normally I'd write something about keys to the game, but that seems rather pointless. It only matters if this team decides they want to salvage their season. They haven't show us much the last few weeks, I don't have much hope for today. (Wow. That's pretty negative, isn't it?)
  • So much angst on pre-game shows about whether or not fans will boo the Seniors. I guess there isn't much else to talk about - it's not like you can pour over statistics with any meaning. (More negativity?)
  • I hope Bo Ruud gets into this game. I don't mean just play, but GET INTO IT. You KNOW that you're going to hear RRUUUUUUUD! from the crowd. You know it. (That's better. Maybe just one more positivity.)
  • Nebraska needs to start fast. Joe Ganz to Mo Purify. If Purify could whip up on the best cover corner in the Big 12 for over 150 yards, what can he do against K-State.  The offense can score against KSU. (Whoooeeee!)

Sounds

like a pretty warm welcome for the Seniors.

SNAFU

three and out on the first series, then we let them march right down the field.

Are they going to throw to Jordy Nelson? Are they?

bleah.

Great

for Grixby that he gets a return TD in his last home game.

Horrible call on roughing the passer, but we hold them to three. Still hope in this game.

14-10

nice job on the offensive side of the ball.

great geting the ball to Purify - the guy should have been seeing the ball a lot more throughout the season (nothing like stating the obvious).

still hope after one.

playing with heart

moving the ball on offense, on the ground, keeping our defense and their offense off the field  - key for this game.

cool!

31-10!!!!!

holy moly

38-10.....

when we got the ball back with .23 seconds left, i told my brother in law that we'd score.

Kansas State looks lost, it's clear that the blitzing has Freeman rattled. Not only that, but the defensive front four is putting pressure on the quarterback when we're not blitzing.

What a great first half.

Wonderful stuff.

Great 1st Drive

Even though he missed the WIDE OPEN Lucky!
We still scored.  Now lets see if we will continue to Blitz and D-Line get pressure on their own.

I like Dixon...Suh has shown ,,,ummmmh,,,nothing!

Am I dreaming?

Did Cosgrove make 3 CORRECT defensive calls in a row!
Go Huskers!  Mixing the Blitz in is working wonders!

Who would have thought the blitz works in college football?

It has only taken 3 years and moving boxes in his yard to let the D loose!
Yeah!!!! Cosgrove,,,, you are ready to coach in the NFL!

Otherwise, GREAT JOB SENIORS!  Luv GANZ!

Pass intereference on Purify was iffy!  Could have easily not been called but thats what happens when your hands are on the D-Backs BACK! D-Back was falling down already..if Purify had actually pushed him....d-back would have fallen.

38-10 at the half.

Oh yeah, this is what it's supposed to be like!!!

The tradition cannot be killed, no matter how hard they try!

Defense

HOLY SHIT THEY SCORED! haha i thought kstate forgot what the endzone looked like.  Its alright Defense is looking much better even though I still think Cosgrove should be fired, after his terrible calls at the KU game get him out.

Half A Hundred

Why stop there lets put a whole hundred if we can.  GUTS thats what Ganz has damnit!  He took a broken 4th and 20 and ran the ball to get the first.  That is one BAMF.  Go Big Red!

Joe Montana Ganz!

510 passing or something; Lucky 183 all purpose; and a kick off return the first time in forever.  Purify catching everything in sight!

Couldn't happen against a more deserving team(p.s., I'm glad they got Freeman--we have GANZ!!!).  That KSU Fan DID predict a blowout:  WOOHOOO!

Seriously, NE doesn't play too bad against a non-spread/option team.
