ESPN's SkyCam Fails in Kamikaze Attack on Marvin McNutt in the Insight Bowl.

ESPN's over-the-field camera crashed to the turf late in the fourth quarter, causing a five minute delay while the camera was reeled in off the field. A quick thinking band director quickly called for the band to repeatedly play the "SportsCenter" theme song while the wreckage was being cleared from the field.

For posterity. The opening kickoff of the Huskers' FIRST B1G home game vs. Ohio State. I didn't do much You-Tubing after this because of the rain (and the crappy first half).

It was cool to watch the team walk into the Osborne Complex until my view was........"obstructed."

Dammit!!! Will football season get here already?? The band's warming up!!

Went to the Cornhusker Marching Band's annual band camp exhibition Friday night. This crappy little camera mic just doesn't do justice to what they call the "California" tune; a tuning exercise that get progressively louder and LOUDER!!

3/13/2011. Nebraska vs. Fresno St......literally!! The trouble had its genesis in Saturday's game when Fresno State's Jordan Ribera wiped out Husker catcher Patric Tolentino during a play at the plate (Ribera was out). In college baseball a runner cannot plow through a catcher if he's blocking the plate. Ribera was not ejected from the game. On Sunday, Husker pitcher Brandon Pierce apparently decided to enforce some "baseball justice" and plunked Ribera in his first at-bat (I missed it because I was in the restroom at the time). Ribera took offense at the dotting and started jawing at Pierce. Fresno State's next batter hit a two-run homer and the jawing continued. Both dugouts emptied, but no punches were thrown. Later in the inning a Fresno State player in the dugout was tossed out of the game.

The Huskers won 5-4

HUSKER STEALS HOME!! Husker baseball vs. Fresno St. 3/13/2011. Watch the left side of the screen as Nebraska's Josh Scheffert steals home!! Chad Christenson was called out at second to end the inning, but Scheffert had already scored. The Huskers won 5-4.
