Ask a K-State Blogger
Y'all probably know the drill by now. TB from the SB Nation blog Bring On The Cats here to answer your questions as we gear up for this weekend's game to decide who plays in Dallas for the Big 12 Championship.
Before firing away, you may want to check my postgame post after the Missouri game, as it has a few thoughts on this weekend's tilt in Lincoln. Other than that post, your questions in the comments and I'll get to them as soon as I can.

This article has nothing to do with the Huskers
Do not know if some of you have noticed but haven't posted anything as of late, including comments. There is good reason for this and I have decided to share this reason so in the hopes of helping other people. Have a very dear friend of mine that had to do in her words one of the hardest things she has ever done in her life. Told Her mother that her husband of 3 years has routinely beaten and yelled at her causing untold damage and hurt her chances of having kids. She was afraid to to tell her mother this because in her words will not get any support.
Abuse happens more than any of us can ever truly ever know. For every story that we hear about another one happens while we remain bliss. And I just want to tell the rest of corn nation to be supportive if you have a friend that is in a relationship like this. No man ever has the right to beat or hurt a woman and the same goes the other way. If you feel the need to do that SEEk help because help is out there.
If you do know somebody that is in a relationship like that, there is no secret word to help or act that will make it all be better. All you can really do is be supportive and be there for that person. Also as much as you would love to beating on the guy hurting the woman is against the law and definitely not going to help. In fact it can only hurt in the long run.
Sorry that this is a very rough draft but it is very hard to type this kind of article. Just please keep my friend in your prayers.

Some videos from Lincoln and Lawrence.
Here are some videos and photos from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln and Saturday's game in Kansas. One video shows Memorial Stadium before the FAU and OU games as well as quite a few close up shots of the team and coaches coming on and off the field. The other one is still pictures set to music.
I think the UNL band's announcer posted these at YouTube.

I think it's cool to see Pelini and the players up close.

Week 11 Observations
1. Upset Alert: Cincy vs. West Virginia. The Bearcats are powerful on offense, but at some point the BCS gods always get help from their lucky stars by virtue of a Championship game "wrench" losing down the stretch. The Mountaineers are 7-2, and capable of pulling off a shocker. Cincy 21 WVU 24
2. Kansas has the guns to pull off its own upset down in Lawerence against Bo and company. They are desperate for a win, and the entire state of Kansas will be pulling for the Jayhawks. (K-State probably more than anyone). However, if the defense performs like what I witnessed in Lincoln Saturday night…Rock Chalk Nation has a snowballs chance in hell of winning. The KU defense is porous, and with the Big Red rejuvinating the power I-formation, we could finally see some points from the hapless Husker offense.

Nebraska Commit Andrew Rodriguez Chosen for Army All-America Bowl
By now, y'all are probably really getting sick of the K-State fan coming over here and talking about your recruits, but I had to share this one with you. Nebraska OL commit Andrew Rodriguez, from my hometown of Aurora, Nebraska, was chosen to play in the Army All-America Bowl in San Antonio. I strongly suggest you watch the first video on that link, where A-Rod puts on his All-America jersey and addresses the Aurora High School crowd. He's a great kid, he's come a long way, and he hasn't forgotten the people that helped him get there. I hope for the best for this guy at Nebraska.

RedRaider fan of Husker Fans!
Me and a few friends drove from DFW to Lincoln last week and I have to say....I was totally amazed. I had heard stories about how good the Nebraska fans were but what we experienced was incredible. Before the game at Buffalo Wild Wings, several times Husker fans got up from their table...walked to ours...introduced themselves, thanked us for coming to Lincoln, and wished us good luck. After the game...we got high fives....knuckle-bumps and all sorts of congrats from Husker fans, bartenders, etc... Y'all have something to be very proud of up there. We promise to bring some of that same spirit down to Lubbock next time we're out there. Go Huskers!

Blackshirt tradition never dies
Oh, enough with the Blackshirt talk. Enough. It's only a nickname and a point of pride for our starters now; tradition. Charlie McBride isn't here to hand a defender that practice jersey, with Osborne overseeing the grand moment. This tradition started with the likes of players like Broderick Thomas, who looked like he was going to hurt whoever he hit on every play. That attitude kept Nebraska in the hunt for the Big Eight every year despite abysmal offenses that only scored twice in some games. If continued publicly, this tradition risks inflating the egos of some very mediocre Huskers. However, if discontinued, seems like an affront to the fans of Cornhusker football. No more talk about this. It's lose-lose and pointless to argue..........at least until celebrating a conference championship.............Go Bugeaters

Ask A Cyclone
Husker Fans,
I wanted to open up the floor to give you a chance to ask questions about the Iowa State Cyclones. If there's anything you want to know about the team, coaching staff, school, etc., feel free to ask! I will do my best to check a couple of times a day.
I also sent some questions to the writers of Corn Nation, and hope to have those responses up on Clone Chronicles later this week.
Looking forward to the matchup this weekend, and looking forward to answering your questions!

Conspiracy?
I just went to vote for Ndamukong Suh for Heisman on Nissan's website, but I had to write his name in! Considering he's in the lead by a mile over everyone else (and Tebow and other "front runners" are still listed as choices), I found it intriguing that Suh wasn't a choice. Is this just a glitch, or is this a conspiracy to slow down Suh's voters?? Or am I reading too much into it?
