Brian Rosenthal of the Nebraska Athletic Department just tweeted out a release stating that Junior Guard Nick Fuller is leaving the Nebraska Basketball program.
Fuller, who will be graduating in May from UNL with a degree in Management, will try to link up with another team by way of being a Graduate Transfer.
The native of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, was a three-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. He was also a two-year member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team while in Lincoln.
As far as playing time on the team came, Fuller’s minutes and production lessened each year he was on the team. In the 2016-17 season, Fuller only logged 85 total minutes in game action the whole year. He did get to double digits three times this season, scoring 10 points at Northwestern & 11 points each at Ohio State and in his final game in Lincoln vs. Michigan.
Reading the release, it sounds like Fuller & Miles both came to the realization that minutes would be lessened next year, and a different program would be best for both player and program.
We wish nothing but the best for Nick, and so should you.
