Nebraska lost on Saturday afternoon in a tough environment. Allen Fieldhouse is arguably the toughest place to play in College Basketball. Kansas has now won 48 straight home games and counting. Nebraska players even said this was the loudest place they have played in this season and it’s not even close. Nebraska held there own for the first 10 minutes of the first half, but Kansas went on a run and the game was all but over after that.
The Good
There wasn’t really much good to take out of this game. Kansas dominated this game and all Nebraska could do was try to hang around. Kansas is a top five team in the country for a reason. Nebraska just doesn’t have the athletes. A good example might be Kansas Football vs Nebraska Football. Nebraska has a lot more athletes and play makers than Kansas does in football.
A few Husker players were able to have pretty good games. The young players can learn from this game and environment going forward. Tai Webster 9-20 from the field and had 22 points. The senior leader has been very good this season trying to get a spark into the offense. Ed Morrow also had 16 points himself. I think if Morrow can develop a little more, he could be one of the best players on this team. Anton Gil also had one of his better games scoring 7 points off the bench.
Quote of The Game
"Tough environment to come into. Crowd's nothing like we've seen before. Kansas is good at what they do." - Tai Webster
