This is my first fan post! Please hold all applause, jeers and love/hate mail until I press submit and sprint away to a safe distance.

I don't know if I'm the first to do this, and I don't know if it's useful to anyone but me. But I do know that I can't stand having to go to someone's website to see when the next game is on; and many times downloading an app to tell me something as simple as "they play tomorrow at 2pm" seems over-the-top in the effort department.

Enter me, creating the same thing in Google Calendar. I'm working off of this schedule, and will update all the seeds/winner/loser information with the actual teams as that information becomes available.

How to use it?

I'm not going to be able to provide 24/7 support to help get this added to each and every device, PC etc. But maybe our friendly community can lend a hand if you post your question in the comments below. I'll provide some basics however, for those of you not familiar with Google Calendar.

Add the B1G Baseball Tourney Calendar to your iPhone

  1. Copy this link (this is the iCal link)
  2. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Tap Add Account > Other
  4. Select Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the iCal link from step one and click Next. Adjust settings for your purposes. Note: no username/password required.
  5. Open the Calendar app and select "Calendars" (upper left corner). You can toggle your newly added calendar's view on/off by tapping the calendar name.

Add the B1G Baseball Tourney Calendar to your Android device

On your PC:

  1. Copy this link (this is the iCal link)
  2. Go to www.google.com/calendar and make sure you are logged in with the same Google account as you use with your Android device
  3. In the left column, under Other Calendars, click the arrow and select Add by URL
  4. Paste the iCal link from step one and click Add Calendar
On your Android device: Depending on the calendar app you use, and your existing preferences, the calendar may show up automatically, or may need to be toggled to "on". If it does not appear, go to your calendar app's settings and toggle the view to "on" for this calendar.

Add the B1G Baseball Tourney Calendar to your Outlook

  1. Copy this link (this is the iCal link)
  2. Open Outlook and switch to the Calendar view.
  3. Go to Open Calendar > From Internet…
  4. Paste in the iCal link from step one and click OK
  5. Click Yes to add the internet calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates.
  6. You can toggle this calendar on/off by going to the Calendar view.
I hope you find this useful! It's useful for me, so I'd be doing this either way; I just figured I'd save anyone else the effort. Cheers, and Go Big Red!
