Corn Flakes on a Saturday? WHAT THE HELL?
Look at this weekend for Nebraska sports:
- Nebraska baseball home opener. They already beat St. John's 12-something... well, by a gob of points. And Kyle Kubat returned, and threw his first game this year! WoohoO!!!! We're unstoppable, at least this weekend.
- The women's basketball team beat Minnesota last night and will face Michigan State this evening. Given that #1 Penn State was knocked off by Ohio State earlier, this is a huge game. The Nebraska women's basketball team has never won a championship - not in the Big Eight, not in the Big 12, and certainly not in the Big Ten.
Okay, that last one, well, they haven't had many tries yet, BUT THE POINT IS, THIS COULD BE THE YEAR!
- Nebraska football spring practice starts today!
- You're all waiting for Sunday evening, right, when the men's basketball team faces Wisconsin for a chance to seal fourth place in the conference, and probably a spot in the NCAA tournament.
- It's Senior night for the women's gymnastics team!
I know you're all thinking the same thing I am. This team has done so many wondrous things. Could this be the team that finally, you know, does it? YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, but don't mention it because then it won't happen.
