Helluva game last night as the Huskers and Wildcats went 16 innings, with the game winner for Nebraska coming off a two-out single by Chad Christensen that scored Bryan Peters. Nebraska moved to 9-15 on the season, but 3-1 in the Big Ten and with a shot to win their second straight Big Ten series with a win today.
Northwestern used six pitchers, while Nebraska used five. Wildcat ace Zach Morton left after only one inning, but potentially could return in the series if his injury isn't serious. That could spell trouble for the Huskers.
It was really nice having a full production from BTN last night. The announcing was good, the camera work was good. The only problem I have with it is - why isn't there more?
