Catcher Tanner Lubach has been a surprise transfer for the Huskers - James Stevenson

Nebraska's chance to get its first win of the season will have to wait as temperatures forecasted for the mid-20s

Not only will Nebraska's ace pitcher Kyle Kubat not be in action on Friday, but neither will the Nebraska and New Mexico baseball teams. The university announced Thursday night that Friday's baseball game will be cancelled due to cold weather and will not be made up. Temperatures are predicted to be in the 20s during gametime tomorrow.

If you missed it earlier this week, Nebraska also adjusted the first pitch for Saturday and Sunday's games, moving each game's first pitch up an hour. The rotation will be kept the same, with Brandon Pierce pitching the first game of the series, now on Saturday, and Christian DeLeon getting the nod in game two, on Sunday. Whether or not Ryan Hander pitches Tuesday against Northern Colorado remains to be announced.

The updated weekend schedule is below.

Saturday, March 2 - 1:05 p.m. (CT)

RHP Brandon Pierce (0-2) vs. RHP A.J. Carman (1-0)

Sunday, March 3 - 12:05 p.m. (CT)

RHP Christian DeLeon (0-0) vs. LHP Kevin Baumgartner (0-0)
