Alabama is a nearly 10-point favorite. I'll chalk that up to them being "ALABAMA" as coached by "NICK SABAN", but not as much to do with anything that should be expected to happen in this game. I picked Notre Dame in the pool, reason being is that I believe there are some holes in the Crimson Tide's armor. It's not that I expect the Irish to crush them, but I'm not buying into the "ALABAMA as UNBEATABLE WARLORDS OF DOOM" mythology that automatically gets assigned to Nick Saban's team.
