The Nebraska Cornhuskers are scurrying to fill up their 2012-2013 football recruiting class. They took a big step forward today.
Hey there all,
Brandon Cavanaugh here. Been around the national block lately, but decided to come back home to my digital roots in Big Red Country.
While football may be my bread and butter, I'll be covering recruiting 24/7/365 and branching into other topics as I get settled in. With the introduction out of the way, how about some good news?
The Cornhuskers have been trying to plug holes in their defensive tackle depth chart, but try as they might, no high school or junior college prospect would pull the trigger this cycle.
Orlando, Florida native Kevin Maurice was recently offered by the Big Red and didn't wait long before pulling the trigger.
With the Huskers having to bring in an average of two commits per week between now and Signing Day on February 6, they may very well snag a second defensive tackle this weekend as Maliek Collins is allegedly in Lincoln for a visit.
