The 6'4" 240-pound prospect is ranked No. 46 according to the 247Composite index. Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini was due to visit Carter prior to a scheduled visit to LSU this weekend.
Considering Carter's proximity to Baton Rouge, it's likely that Pelini swung for the fences in terms of getting Nebraska's newest commit to pledge a signing of his Letter of Intent come February for the Big Red.
Carter is the second tight end of this class joining Dayton, OH native Greg Hart.
The two will join Sam Cotton and David Sutton on scholarship while senior walk-on Jake Long looks to be a lock for a full ride offer. The Huskers' tight end roster also features Jared Blum, Trey Foster and Eddie Ridder
