"You’re not just thinking about the next couple quarters," Pelini said. "You’re thinking about the whole season. Not only the future of the team, but Rex’s future."
That's very humane of Pelini. The article also notes that Pelini thinks the defense is ahead. Some rumblings I've seen is that Nebraska hasn't been able to tackle QBs in practice to prevent injuries. Could just be talk, no clue.

The national #3 and #4 offenses meet in Pasadena on Saturday. Should be a good time. (Is the Rose Bowl under an overpass? Because that would be perfect.)

Good luck to Dennard. It sounds like he'll be working very hard to keep his nose clean. The NFL needs more humble players like that.

Purdue to start QB TerBush at Notre Dame - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN
Interesting. Why would you bench Marve after his good outing? He obviously has control of the offense. Didn't work well for either Florida or USM during their games.

Game-changer for Michigan? Sounds like the Alabama game was a loss all around for them.
Michigan regroups after Alabama thrashing - Yahoo! Sports
For the record, I don't think Hoke is suggesting they'll get a second shot at Alabama (although not entirely out of the question, given the formula - Alabama would gladly wallop them again for an easy trophy). He means that the team needs to move past the game mentally.

No. 17 Nebraska (1-0) at UCLA (1-0), 6:30 p.m., Fox: The Huskers go to the Rose Bowl for what they hope might be the first of two trips this season. Taylor Martinez looked terrific against Southern Miss and now goes back home to California. UCLA showed increased offensive firepower in an easy win over Rice, so this one could be a lot of fun.
I'm pretty excited.
