What have we seen so far?

A Taylor Martinez that looks like a completely different player than in past years. At half Martinez is 18-for-23 for 247 yards, and three TDs. Ten different receivers have caught a pass.

Rex Burkhead with a career high run on a 57-yard touchdown. He's been replaced by Ameer Adbullah, who's looked pretty darned good in the process, but has yet to break the big one.

Special teams struggling. Tyler Lampley from Southern Miss has a 102 yard kick return for a touchdown, while the normally steady Brett Maher has missed two field goals and had a kickoff out of bounds.

A defense that's struggling, although maybe not as bad as we'd like to think. Southern Miss has ten points of offense with 152 total yards.
