The NCAA sanctions imposed on Penn State opened the door for a legal "poaching" of players to occur. The NCAA has proposed that picking up players from Penn States' roster would NOT count toward the receiving schools overall roster count. This has caused a rush by several schools, Illinois reportedly sent six coaches to campus, to pick up the pieces.
With that said, should we attempt to get a few players ourselves?
We have a few holes in our roster. PSU has a roster full of players that are looking to transfer to a school that will give them the opportunity to go to a bowl game. Is that a win/win? Or maybe we should take the higher road and try to distance ourselves from PSU. How would it effect our rivalry with the school? After being the premier school to show support last year, how would our approaches be received in Happy Valley?
Is it the right/wrong thing to do?
