Jon's highlight of Dean Steinkuhler scoring on the Fumblerooski brought back memories of other trick plays in Husker history. Here are three of my favorites:
What's your favorite? Just as important, what are the criteria for evaluating a best trick play? For me, effectiveness is the obvious first choice; if the play doesn't work, we won't remember it. Next, I like creativity; of all the out-of-the-box thinking that occurs in college football, the best trick plays are those that make you go "whoa--that's inspired!" Finally, I like boldness; as in, if this doesn't work, we could be really screwed and people will call me an idiot...but, what the hell, let's give it a shot! Together, these three criteria = memorable.
