Everything else will be taking a back seat to March Madness as it begins today as Murray State and Colorado State meet at 11:15 AM on CBS.

Things can't be so bleak that all Nebraskans won't be watching the tournament, so this open thread is for you, basketball fan who may happen to be Nebraskan..... or just looking for a place to comment on the current state of the Husker men's basketball coaching search, the Husker baseball team taking on Louisiana Tech, your hatred of all things purple, or whatever else you'd like to discuss.

As always, I'll be rooting for chaos and insanity, for brackets to be shattered, dreams smashed, hopes dashed and general all-around calamity to befall all the other programs who dare challenge for the Final Four.

As I one who would steal the joy of others? You're damned right I would, especially if their team happens to be good at basketball on a perennial basis. Bitter much? YESSIR I AM BITTER but your tears of fail can bring me happiness!

It is an open thread, so anything (well, no politics or religion as usual) goes. Make it another meme thread if you don't like basketball. Perhaps we can establish some we can use for the 2012 Husker football season. Or baseball. Softball, even, I'm not picky.
