Ben Bradley, a four-star defensive tackle from Hutchison (Kansas) Community College did not sign with Tennessee last week, despite being a long-time Vols commit. Bradley visited Lincoln on November 16th, and apparently effectively decommitted. Bradley told HuskerOnline that Nebraska has been in touch with him in recent days.
"We talked a little bit before Wednesday but when Nebraska saw I didn't sign with Tennessee they reached back out to me. The facilities are what really stand out to me about Nebraska and that they are a winning program. I've been talking to their coaches a lot over the past week."
It seems that Nebraska is now in the lead for the 6'3" 305 pound prospect, who is completing his coursework to be eligible to enroll next month. Hudl provides some highlights of Bradley's career in Hutchison.
Bradley plans to announce his choice on Wednesday after Christmas. Other schools he's considering are Missouri, Kentucky, and apparently still Tennessee.
I will be making my final decision next week....— Ben Bradley (@IamAmbition98) December 20, 2012
Some Twitter reaction from the media:
Bradley's a biggun and a quickun. Good swim move. But Kaz will have to teach him how to play the position w/o getting gapped.— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) December 23, 2012
He's not as good as Peanut Butter Hooks, but I like him more than Quincy Russell.— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) December 23, 2012
@swmckewonowh I think Bradley may actually fit NU's scheme better than hooks.— Nate Clouse (@NateClouse) December 23, 2012
