Needless to say, we need a pair of reliable hands in the receiving corps, and Westerkamp is as good a candidate as any to fill that role. The 4* receiver out of Illinois never decommited from NU, but he made plenty of Husker fans sweat by taking a late visit to Notre Dame and was openly considering the Irish.

"In the end I went with my heart. I love Nebraska"

Lets hope hes legit. We need someone to compliment and push Bell, Turner, and Reed.

Glad he's "N"

We need reliable receivers who can make tough catches in big games, and this guy definitely looks the part.

Does anyone know when we last had a 4 star WR recruit?

Don't get cute.

Niles Paul

It’s fun looking back through past recruiting commit lists though.

What jumped out at me: Zac Lee and Cody Green were both four stars while Amukamara and Dennard were both three stars.

I remember all the hype around Cody Green

It’s too bad he never worked out. I always liked the kid. I hope he lights it up at Tulsa next fall.

Don't get cute.

So Pelini does better work with low rated talent?

Play for the love of the game. A Cornhusker through feast or famine. That's the Nebraska way.

I wonder

if he will play next year or if he will have to put a year in first.

We'll know in September.

Probably depends on if he matures faster than Turner did – Turner was on the field and then disappeared because he wasn’t putting in the time.
