We took this letter very seriously. We asked for such a statement. They gave it to us freely. It says here unanimous vote was taken and yet when we look at Beebe's letter last night it says: `No we didn't really mean that,' and I find that to be rather difficult to digest.

So I was giggling about the Big 12 Meltdown, when a few "just in the nick of time" scenarios came to mind ...

I stooped to tie my shoe lace just as an I-beam swung wildly over head.
I paused at the crosswalk to peer over my shoulder just as the brakes on the Mack truck went out.
I chose to have another latte and missed my soon to be doomed flight.
I waited to adjust my swim cap right as the life guard yelled TURD!

Oh wait, Tom Osborne and Harvey Perlman saw this coming all along didn't they? Never mind.

The Big 12 is apparently effectively dead then.

If the conference is no longer representing its voting members on matters of importance to the future of said conference, the Big 12’s charter has become as effective as the Articles of Confederation.
