That's not good news for
Kansas, Kansas State, et. al. who had the Big East as a possible destination following the Big 12’s imminent (?) implosion. As a sidebar, the ACC also jacked up its escape clause price tag to $20 million for those wishing to leave the league, which might end that Florida State-to-the-SEC speculation.
Sidebar question — wasn’t Oklahoma’s board of regents supposed to be meeting/voting on the Sooners’ future these last 48 hours? Have I just missed the results of that meeting? Or is it just a Big Silence?

OU is leveraging this into a payday for them.
They aren’t leaving the Big 12 for the Pac-14 where they’ll be just another name team. Not unless Texas leaves first.

Yeah
I figure Texas and OU are joined at the hip for better or worse as well.
West Virginia to the SEC would be a very interesting development, but one that makes sense in terms of WV getting to a stable home and the SEC expanding beyond its current footprint.
Poor TCU…may have escaped mid-major hell last year only to watch it’s new home disintegrate.

I think TCU may take an invite from the Big 12 if OU stays.
I think when all is said and done, the Big 12 survives by picking some decent mid-majors up.
The Big East will collapse though.

But yeah seriously, West Virginia is going to win that conference so easily this year, and if they are undefeated they will be in the national title picture, even though they probably aren’t that good.
I'm guessing not. But they'll beat Texas and Oklahoma and that should be enough momentum to win the Big 12.
And WVU will only get the nod if the Big Ten or Pac-12 champ both have 2 losses.
The Big East is still the Big East no matter how dominant the “champ” is.

I think Nebraska fans will be let down by the stadium atmosphere at Camp Randall. The hype is incredible.
Every Badger student I’ve talked to agrees that they’re far more interested in tailgating than the game.
The Big House will live up to its billing though.

It's funny
I think this “Camp Randall is intense” thing is relatively new. BTN showed a big Wiscy game from 2000, and the stadium reminded me more of Kansas Memorial than Lincoln Memorial.
Also, of course, it’s fueled by alcohol, especially at night games.

See, the alcohol thing is a double-edged sword. The students are only in the game for about two hours before they start feeling sick or tired.
They do not cheer their defense or attempt to disrupt the opposing offense. They may, or may not, make noise on fourth downs.
They cheer for first downs. And that’s about it.
Jump Around is more for the kids than for the game.
They’re really good at executing the wave.
Wisconsin is as good as they are because they play with basically minimal fan assistance.

In fact, the student section is far more interested in yelling profanities at each other.
I think its safe to say I’m less than impressed.
People may disparage Memorial Stadium’s seeming lack of enthusiasm, but you’ll think our stadium is full of three year olds on sugar highs compared to Wisconsin.
If they show any excitement, it’ll be quickly snuffed out by any success on Nebraska’s part.
