Collins Okafor? How is he doing in summer practices?
I have been following Nebraska's practices and have been wondering how our running backs are doing. The available media like Husker's HQ and huskers.com have chronicled Rex Burkhead to a fault, so I know Burkhead is having a good summer preparing for game with Chattanooga - Tennessee on Sept. 3. Still, I was wondering how our other backs were doing. I have seen a little bit on the blue chip recruit Aaron Green from Texas. How is big Collins Okafor? I have it in the back of my mind that this guy as force to be reckoned with. 6-0, 230 with good speed. I'd like to see his power assist Burkhead. How are the other backs besides the talented Burkhead doing? I have heard very little.

well.....
Austin Jones earned a scholarship and should be considered ahead of either Collins Okafor or Lester Ward on a depth chart.
Ward moved to tight end for a while, then I believe he moved back and was taking snaps at fullback (which… perhaps you’d consider be’d be playing a type of H-Back in situations, maybe).
Okafor – I think the fact that Jones last season moved ahead of both of the other two backs as a walk-on tells us something about where they stand, meaning, they’re probably going to see little playing time unless there’s a bunch of injuries or none of the three new guys stands out much.

The incoming three freshmen
Braylon Heard, Ameer Abdullah, and Aaron Green should all be considered second string. Austin Jones third string. Collins Okafor may get a few carries at the end of the Chattanooga game, and that’s it.
