My view of Nebraska being “back” is that we are. My definition for that is being capable of having at least a reasonable shot of beating every team you play. Thinking back to the beginning of 2009, I think there was really only one game where people were pretty well convinced we were going down and that was against Texas in the Big 12 Title game. Those people (me included) were clearly wrong about Nebraska’s chances in that game.

Since 2009, we’ve only been out of one game by the 4th quarter and that was Texas Tech. That’s a pretty good run for any team. If you’re in a game late, you’re capable of winning that game. With some luck late (OSU’s national title team won something like 7 games by a touchdown or less) you’d be surprised what can happen.
