That Neb. will go by the way of Minnesota and has no chance to returning as a nat. caliber program. What's funny is that the same things could have just as easily been said about OU in the 90s. Smaller state with declining population growth. But they hire a good coach in Stoops, and now believe that it all due to OU's inherent advantages. OU can believe all they want that they are superior to the NU program, but they are not, they are equals. Except that OU also cheats like crazy.

It all has to do with good coaches. Hire them, good things happen.

Trammel is trash

I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it. Not because he says bad things about Nebraska, but because he’s a wavering idiot. This is the same guy who gets mad about Nebraska leaving, blames us for the downfall of football as we know it, talks about how our ‘Brand Recognition’ is a huge loss, and turns around and writes this junk. It’s just a bunch of rambling, and the fact that he got another page click from me only furthers my infuriation with this guy (I’m not even sure infuriation is a word, but it’s how I feel). I hope Stoops goes to tOSU.

Nebraska's still a national brand, with passionate fans...

Last year I had a guys’ weekend in Las Vegas over the Halloween weekend. Saturday was the day of the Mizzou game, and my entourage made its way to Torino’s, the home of the Las Vegas Nebraskans. If Nebraska was “done”, a bar 1200 miles from Lincoln wouldn’t be filled with about 300-400 Nebraska fans two hours before game time.

Later that night, we went to the TCU-UNLV game, then hit the Strip – at midnight on the Saturday of Halloween weekend. Some of us were still wearing our Husker gear from earlier in the day. Amongst all the gorgeous women costumed as naughty zombies, naughty schoolgirls, naughty nurses, and other assorted “naughty” types, we stood out. simply by wearing Husker gear In a (relatively) short walk from Bally’s to Casino Royale, then back to Bally’s, we had no fewer than fifteen passers-by start chanting “Goooooooo Biiiiiiiiiiig Reeeeeeeeed!” (Three additional people yelled obscenities about Nebraska).

You don’t inspire that kind of response, that far from home, if you’re not a national brand. Especially when the scenery was so much better on the Strip that night…

Kennard nailed it

Thread over, Tramel’s a hack…no actually hacks have agendas, he’s just an idiot.

What Grinds my gears...

Is why this “journalist” seems to weekly spew out articles about Nebraska. Even since the officail B1G move, we’re seeing this guy continually have our name in his effin mouth. It’s kinda flattering, but completely unnecessary. I guess he doesn’t want to talk about the addtional probation that they’re going through…

Tramel

will say anything about anyone if he thinks it will get a rise out of people and make them listen to his show. He is all about ratings.

UNL is done.

Barry is playing more to Husker Nation’s fears. Coach Osborne cut short his congressional career to come rescue a UNL athletic program slowly sinking into obscurity. There was NEVER a Big EIGHT, it was OU, UNL and the “little six”. Husker fans were used to winning. As long as UNL was winning, Husker Nation and their fans were happy…the best fan base in the country. But things changed, and that fan base turned surly, mean, foul-mouthed. Coach Tom took his team and ran, knowing there was no way UNL could compete against UT and OU especially, and the rest of the Big XII South. Time will tell how UNL will fare in the Big X + 2. There is a hurt in the UNL psyche that will never heal. I really do believe this is what Barry is alluding to in his article. The Big X is another animal. I really do not believe UNL belongs. Adding insult to injury? The AAU dropping UNL from its membership deal a blow to the academic side of the equation.

Shhhhhh the Red Giant is sleeping

We were a member of AAU for 101 years and we are the only member to ever be removed. Our program was acceptable in 1928 but not now? Seriously? Can you say P o llll o t iii ccc s?

Give our B10 membership 50 to 100 years and we will see if we “belong”.

Pederson and Callahan were a hurt to the Nebraska psyche that will never be forgotten.

How can you compete with UT and OU with Pederson (Pitt Outsider) and Callahan (Mr Ireallydontcare) at the helm?

Please point out 1 fan base in the history of humanity that has never complained.

Nebraska is on firm ground while the Big 12 is sinking. Enough said.

Do not wake the Red Giant, I hear he eats trolls.
