Oh, I should have created game threads for the earlier bowls, but better late than never, right?
Besides, I figure this is the one most Husker fans are interested in because it features our future and our past facing off against each other.
New rival Iowa vs old rival Oklahoma - I have to wonder - who are you rooting for?
I don't expect it to be much of a game, especially since Iowa is without Marcus Coker, but at the same time, you have to wonder how enthused Oklahoma is to have fallen to the Insight Bowl.
As for my rooting - for me Oklahoma ceased to be our rival at the formation of the Big 12. We didn't play yearly, and Oklahoma made Texas their rival of choice. The old Big Eight gave us some great games, but those days were gone.
Still.... rooting for Iowa just because they're in the Big Ten? I don't think I can do that. I haven't hidden my hate for Iowa, but I do hope they play well in this game if for no other reason than it's a Friday night and like usual, I have nothing better to do.

The 23rd ranked Huskers traveled to #16 Penn State and won 71-63. PSU was the pre-seanon pick to win the Big Ten.
Sophomore Lindsay Moore (Alliance, NE native) scored 31 pts. and had twelve rebounds.
This is the third time in the last four games she’s hit the 30-pt. mark.

This was a great game to
listen to. The ladies were down twice by 11 in the first half, and came back to tie it at the break. In the second half, they went on a five minute scoring drought, but still won.

I think I've figured this out...
…Iowa’s M.O….make baffling play calls, get down by three scores, and then score a TD in the fourth to kinda sorta make it close. But not really.

Two things mildly surprising about the score
Oklahoma only scored 31 and Iowa exceeded expectations by scoring 14
