Bowl Season Begins! - The Open Thread

It's the beginning of bowl season with three completely meaningless, utterly useless, worthless games that will be played today and I'd recommend that if you want a college football playoff system that you boycott all the bowl games because that's made such a huge difference over the past 30 years, but unfortunately doesn't keep writers from trotting out the same old bullshit year after year.
If you really want a college football playoff instead of the last 35 college football games of the season (and stop kidding yourself, it's one way or the other), then I suggest you meet with someone other than Pinky and take over the world because there is nothing short of world domination that will make it happen.
Here's today's slate of games, and LOOK!!!!!!!!!! It includes playoffs!!!!! But, what's this? Playoffs that don't include bowls but instead use home field advantage? Probabilities of that happening in FBS = Your shot at world domination.

I'll be out Christmas shopping for a while, and I'll be supporting Nebraska while I'm at it, as Mrs CN and I are making a trip to Cabelas.
Nebraska Men's Basketball will play Alcorn State tonight on BTN NET and I'm sure Brian will have a preview and game thread for that up at 7:00 PM.

Correction...
Tonight’s Husker basketball game will be on NET statewide. I imagine this will be like the NET volleyball telecasts; produced by NET for BTN.com with BTN graphics. BTN will be showing IUPUI-Ft. Wayne at Purdue and Lamar at Ohio State tonight. I assume it will also be available online at BTN.com.
Ummm...hold that...
I think BTN’s web site had a problem. I just turned on CBS and found Butler/Purdue on…which would make it difficult for Purdue to play IUPUI tonight, I would think. So I checked again, and now tonight it looks like UNLV at Illinois and Bowling Green at Michigan State on BTN.
Either way, NU/Alcorn State is on NET. As well as Tuesday night’s Central Michigan/NU game and Wednesday night’s womens game between South Dakota State and the Huskers.
Temple busted out to a fast start...going up 21-0 early in the first...
But Wyoming came back and scored on a great catch just before halftime. Temple 21-7.
