Army vs Navy - Open Game Thread Service Smack Talk

May Lord God Jesus Christ bless them in their careers. I'm getting old now, and I wonder why they don't send me instead of the young.

Per Request - An Open Game Thread for the last regular season game of the season.

And it's a big one, Army vs. Navy.

Mean much to the standings? No. Mean much to a lot of people that count? Yes.

As for me, I did not serve my country. My older brothers, Jim and Jerome, went to West Germany and Vietnam, respectively. Both told me to just go to college and skip the military. I did. Imagine that, me listening to my elders.

That beer run take a bit longer than expected? :P

Honestly, I think they should send the winner of this game to the Hawaii Bowl every year, regardless of record.

I don’t really have a rooting interest aside from wanting to see Army break the streak.

So technically yes as it’s under the Department of the Navy if I remember my American civics class correctly.

The service academies allow exceptions for sport-specific requirements. When football is over they have 6 months to return to normal requirements.

Its a dropoff since Dobbs left.

I’m only half-kidding about Ken getting the boot. He is, after all, the first coach who beat ND twice in the last forty-three years.

But Army is The Game. There is no other marker by which a Navy coach is measured. It’s bigger than Michigan-Ohio State. The run that Carr and Rodriguez had against Tressel would not be tolerated if that was seen between Navy-Army.
