College Football Rankings: BlogPoll Top 25 - Week 11
I decided it would be best if I just stayed the hell off the internets Sunday, as this loss to Northwestern is hitting a little harder than I thought it would. I'm still somewhat depressed about it - it's not as if I didn't expect Nebraska to lose some games, but this one came out of nowhere. And honestly - I was probably as bad as anyone at making fun of Northwestern going into the game. (I predicted a 56-14 win on THEIR podcast - what an ass, eh?).
The Poll - LSU is obviously a clear-cut #1 team. The lack of offense in the LSU - 'Bama game didn't bother me. Both of those teams have exceptional defenses - any team in the nation would have difficulty scoring on them. Alabama doesn't drop too far - they are still one of the best in the nation.
Arkansas and Virginia Tech drop only because they were slightly overrated last week and I'm not beyond making those corrections now. The rest is up for correction.

I'd keep Bama at #2
No team other than LSU could keep a game close with them.
Arkansas beats a top 10 team and drops while the only media coverage of Penn St. playing is with young boys and they rise 3 spots? Seems odd.
If JDHusker's parity is real, then yes, a playoff is inevitable.
Not to mention, if we’re going to continue allowing teams to schedule 8 home games with 4 home games against cupcakes, well, we’re going to continue to have a lot of pretenders with inflated records, some of them even undefeated.
A Cornhusker through feast or famine. Get up, dust yourself off and run the ball. That's the Nebraska way.

It's just a proper correction based on how the season has progressed.
Now that we realize how good LSU is, the Ducks loss doesn’t seem so bad.

Boise might actually have a decent chance to play fo the title.
Oregon beats Stanford, Okie St. loses to Oklahoma. Does anyone really want to see Bama/LSU again?
I'd rather see Alabama vs LSU than Boise State stumble into the game with their terrible schedule.

I think it'd be interesting to see...
what that Boise St coach could come up with for a game plan against LSU.
Plus, is Boise’s schedule any worse than Stanford’s? Have you looked at Stanford’s schedule? I don’t see anyone complaining about their long list of cupcakes.
I never said I wanted Stanford in the NC either!
Honestly, as I look at the competition, an 11-1 Alabama vs a 13-0 LSU doesn’t seem like a bad matchup.

I'd be okay with sacrificing another Big 12 team to the SEC as well.
