Auction to Benefit RAINN: Helmet Signed by Nebraska - Penn State Heisman Trophy Winners

After the horrific events at Penn State, Corn Nation, along with SB Nation's Penn State site Black Shoe Diaries, started supporting the universities efforts to donate $500k to RAINN - the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.

As of tonight, that effort (obviously along with many others), has lead to $489,000 being donated.

Starting tonight, RAINN will be auctioning a full size helmet with the signatures of Nebraska and Penn State Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier, Eric Crouch and John Cappalletti. The auction will go live on eBay at 9PM EST on Wednesday, November 30^th and will end at 9PM EST on Wednesday, December 7^th.

The helmet was donated by the Johnny Rodgers Youth Foundation. All of the proceeds of this auction will be donated directly to RAINN's prevention and education initiatives and will provide support for victims of sexual violence and their loved ones through the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline (online.rainn.org). The helmet sits on a plexiglass base and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
