Nebraska vs Michigan - Animated Drive Chart
Like you really want to see this one, right?
What this doesn't really show is:
- Kenny Bell fumble on kickoff return at the beginning of the third quarter, allowing a short field for a Michigan touchdown and 24-10 lead.
- Blocked punt because of a mishandled snap by Brett Maher, giving Michigan another short field.
- Allowed first down conversion on a fake field goal after which Michigan tacked on another touchdown to make it 31-10.
- Roughing the punter (kicker), resulting in a Michigan first down (argue the call all you want, does it matter?) at a point which Nebraska might have been able to get back into the game.
- Another fumble on a kickoff return by Tim Marlowe, because, hell, everyone else is fumbling, so why not him?

This probably
isn’t the place to insert this interesting tidbit, but I found it noteworthy so…from Bob Hamer’s commentary in Sunday’s G.I. Independent:
“Back-to-back road games against rated teams is a difficult situation for any team. In fact, the Nebraska football program, even with all it’s great success, has NEVER won back-to-back games on the road against rated teams.”
Quite a startling little factoid there. I’m not sure how many times in the history of Husker football they’ve faced that challenge, but maybe it tempers Saturdays loss just a little.
They're 18 to 22...how perfect were you at that age?
