Ron Brown leads the players and coaches in a pre-game prayer prior to the Huskers game against Penn State.
Brown prays to protect the students at the game from the foolishness of this past week, that the players glorify God through their play, that justice be done, and that this game would serve as a definition of manhood for little boys everywhere.
Amen.
And thank you, Ron Brown, for showing the nation what grace under pressure is like. God bless you.

Seeing it on television, where you couldn't hear him...
Was almost chilling, like something out of a movie. Gave me goosebumps, and I’m glad it was a Nebraska guy out there leading it. What a gesture, and a show of respect from Nebraska to PSU and it’s family. Proud to be a Husker in every regard that day. Go Big Red.

GO BIG RED!
Yeah it was pretty cool to see everyone together before the game like that
And I think it proves Penn State is not only going to move right past this mess, but they will probably be better off in the long run. Heck, they were respectfully ushering JoPa to the door, anyway.
Now, regarding the game, I’ve only got one opinion on an otherwise extremely boring game. Taylor Martinez gets a bun rap. He has matured into a player who is making great decision, most of the time, spur-of-the-moment decisions. He throws the ball much better than any of us give him credit for. It’s not as is he can chase down his own passes and catch them, too. It’s not his fault that he’s hitting receivers in their hands and the balls ends up on the turf.
Very impressed with how much he’s developed.
Or...not.
Maybe this is better.

Boise State still in the Top 10? Missouri and Texas in the Top 15? Texas A&M in the Top 10?
My god, the Big 12 bias is ridiculous.

It's just one vicious cycle in the Big XII
Over half of the teams are highly ranked, so when they play each other two things are going to happen. First, the team that wins is going to shoot up the rankings because they beat a highly ranked team. Second, the team that lost is not going to move much, since they lost to a highly ranked team.
Even with that in mind, I still can’t believe that any formula could have a 5-5 team listed at number 9 in the country.

There's no Big 12 bias, since this is a computer ranking
Conference bias makes sense in the human polls, but not in this one. I think the Big 12 is just abnormally good this year.

You mean Oklahoma State is great, OU is good, and everyone else is just flapping their arms trying to get to 7-8 wins.
They’ve got the SEC thing going for them, I guess. Two really good teams at the top, maybe one or two middling but solid teams, and then a bucket full of garbage at the bottom.
They just appear abnormally good because of some weird flaw in the computers. Which are still human-ish.

What I mean is
OSU has probably its best team in school history
Baylor has its best team since the SWC era
KSU has its best team since 2003
OU has its best team in least three years
A&M, Mizzou, and Iowa State are all pretty average for their programs (with A&M and Mizzou slightly below average)
Texas is OK, but below average for its program.
Kansas and Texas Tech suck.
By my totally arbitrary calculations, that adds up to an up year for the conference. All the people who run the numbers seem to agree.

Ah. I will agree with you there.
In that regard, they’re doing better than the SEC (other than LSU and ’Bama, that is).
