that is potentially
very very serious.
is that a potential felony in Nebraska for leaving the scene?

From what I can determine,
It’s a felony if a fatality is involved. Otherwise, it’s a misdemeanor, with a license suspension for one year. But, since her license had already been suspended for speeding tickets, I don’t know if the punishment will be harsher.
No matter, this was an incredibly big mistake on her part that will have a huge affect on her team. She has become one of the premier setters in the country.

It's a felony with an injury, too

Just listened to Coach Cook's comments.
He said that Lauren was NOT pulled over by the police. She stopped after the accident and called 911.
Lauren was on the way to the NU training center to get scheduled treatment…no alcohol or drugs were involved, and she was not texting. Coach Cook had few comments on the incident beyond that, except to mention that the first person he called was AD Tom Osborne.

To clarify your clarification
He said she stopped and called 911, though he didn’t say she stopped at the scene.

Never been involved in such a thing, but fear often makes it hard for people to do the right thing. That I understand
That said, I know nothing and cannot make any judgements at this point as to what is fact and what is not.
All I know is that this is a horrible situation and a distraction that the team and coach didn’t need in what has been an awesome season.
If ignorance is heavenly bliss, then welcome to hell.
