Final Blogpoll - College Football Ranking of The 2010 Season
We've come to the end of another year of college football. Another SEC team has won the national title - which wouldn't bother me so much if it weren't a team I probably hate the most out of that conference.
It's not just Cam Newton, it's things like Nick Fairley's cheap shots, Bobby Lowder's influence over the years, Auburn's willingness to chop block and intentionally injure players, Gene Chizik, who never belonged at Iowa State, but when he realized it stopped bothering to coach and let them drop into a toilet - the only thing I can think of that's admirable about Auburn is Bo Jackson, and that was from a long time ago.
Nebraska finished the season sucking as badly as they could. To be honest, I didn't feel like ranking them, but they did win ten games and the Big 12 North (for what that's worth).
You know the drill - feedback is required.

Yay!
This miserable season is finally officially over!!!
These rankings look good to me. I think Nebraska is fortunate to end the season ranked considering how embarrassing the loss to Washington was. But so many other ranked teams lost or were upset that Nebraska had to stay somewhere around the top 20 with their schedule and final record of 10-4.
I still can’t believe we finished 10-4 though. Remember back when we were 9-1? Those were the days. I remember thinking worst case scenario we’d finish 11-3, and that it would take an epic collapse to finish 10-4. Sure enough, that epic collapse happened…I guess I learned never to doubt how low a Shawn Watson offense can go, even to the depth of only scoring 7 points on Washington.
Oh well, now it’s time to look forward to the Big 10, and possibly a 7-5 season or worse…but I think we’ll still end up somewhere around 10-4 next year though. Nebraska’s back…in the top 25 and here to stay!
Ranking look pretty good to me, too.
But I will digress in lieu of this disappointment we called a “football season.” Did anyone notice have unbelievably hot those Oregon cheerleaders were? They made me wish I was young again… wait, I am!
I guess I should also ask, anyone notice how ugly Auburn’s were, also?
My top ten +1
TCU
Auburn
Oregon
Stanford
Boise State
Wisconsin
tOSU
LSU
Alabama
Nevada
Oklahoma (WEAK B12)
NEBRASKA
doesn’t deserve to be ranked. They played themselves right out the polls in my book.
Who moves ahead of them?
Seriously. Tulsa? Utah (who also lost)? Northern Illinois? A lot of teams lost (and lost badly) in bowls…

I would have been LSU and Bama higher
If this bowl season proved anything, it is that the world is the SEC West’s playground.
Deadspin: by douche bags, for douche bags.
Agreed
till somebody beats them you have say that the top tier of the SEC is just ahead of everybody else. I don’t think they are untouchable but they are pretty good. In a best of seven series Auburn wins 4 and Oregon 2.
BUT . . . .
I think Stanford (at this time of year) would have beat both of them. Anyone notice that the Oregon Q-back’s throwing motion was almost sickeningly the same as T-Mart’s?
