College Football Rankings: 2010 Blogpoll Ballot Week 5
Should have had this up yesterday, but I was very much under the weather most of the day.
I did demote Nebraska a couple of ranks - if you can't be motivated to destroy a lower division team you should destroy, I can't be motivated to rank you really high.
Where does Texas really belong? I'm guessing if they don't get their offense straightened out they're going to end up not ranked with Mack Brown's worst season at Texas.
Ah well, give me some pointers. Thanks.....

Bumping Arkansas up?
Played well against ’Bama…but it still was a loss.
What’s the deal with Penn State?
Down 3 spots?
Ehhh I would have dropped us one maybe….but definitely not below Arizona who looked equally as unimpressive this weekend after a big week against Iowa.
No way...
SDSU is a 1-AA/FCS program.

Jon, really? You think after what you’ve seen this year that Nebraska is not as good as Oklahoma?
This is why Vegas should run the BCS. Arkansas proved to be the second best-looking team in the SEC, Oklahoma isn’t the best team in their state, and neither is Texas.

r u kidding?
florida state, air force, cincinatti against the high school teams nebraska has played 3 – 11 i believe
That shirt cracks me up
Although as a Husker fan I would alter it to:
See Red Run
See Red Run
See Red Run
See Red Score!

Yeah, that 1-3 Cincy team is setting the Big East on fire.
Florida State is Oklahoma’s only good win this season.

For all those picking a quick demise for UT this weekend...
You do realize OU is last in the Big XII in total defense right?

But its very possible that UT has about the 10th best offense
And hands down the worst running game. It should be a fun game to watch, as it always is, but I’ll be going for OU.
-Stanford is still too low. They beat UCLA 35-0, Wake Forest a bajillion-not much, and handled Notre Dame on the road. Nobody else in the country has a record nearly that impressive. They’ve beaten the crap out of three BCS conference teams.
-Penn State is too high. A loss to Bama that wasn’t nearly as close as the 24-3 final score, and barely survived Temple at home. But this one doesn’t matter too much, they’re gonna get rolled at Iowa this week.
I have no problem with Nebraska’s location. I think we should be top 10 as long as we remain undefeated, but games like the SDSU dud deserve a slap on the wrist.

I have no problem with any of this blogpoll
because I’ve completely given up trying to understand this frakkin’ season. I don’t know if I can make sense of a world where Oklahoma struggles to three wins, has the worst defense in the Big 12, and remains a legitimate top ten contender. Not bagging on you, Jon – I’m just admitting that pretty much everyone knows piss-all about who’s up and down this year, outside of the top five.

No idea what to think of this team
I agree dropping the huskers a couple spots. No way should they be ranked under Arizona though. Arizona needs to be 7-0 or 8-0 before they deserve to be in the top 8. After this past week I am hoping the Huskers finally get their shit together. They are such a weird team. Think about last season… With the exception of the Texas Tech game they should have won every game. But that is the problem, they can all the sudden come out looking like a different team and seriously be vulnerable to losing to any program in the country(Iowa State9-7) and now last week jesus christ the Fin Jack Rabbits(0-2 FBS team). Anyways I hope this is the last time this team decides to just not show up to a game, because they are a top 5 team in my eyes when they decide not to fumble and actually care about the game they are playing.
Man, That's What's Really Scary
It’s that they didn’t seem to care about the game, and worse that it seemed to take Pelini by surprise. I always took comfort in the fact that this was Pelini’s strength: getting teams up to play, to be steady and workmanlike.
Seeing them look like a (gasp!) Callahan team was more demoralizing than the score; I really thought that was behind us.

Texas
Texas is an interesting team. They stank it up last weekend, but that’s been their only bad game in years. They got crucified for it and now people are saying it’s the end of the world for the longhorns.
It was just one game, and though it’s nice to see Texas come back down to earth, it’s just one game. They will bounce back.
Tru Dat
I would never write them off, ever, after they have owned the Huskers one way or another for so many years. I hate it, but they always find a way to beat us.
Kind of like the Dallas Cowboys, another easy-to-hate team so smugly sure they deserve everything about the success they have bought as opposed to earned, in my opinion.
