Penn State is our designated protected rivalry game. There is a lot of potential here for a really good/long-lasting rivalry to develop. However, you can't force a rivalry. Is this just a money grab by the big 10 to pit these two together or does it make the most sense to put the two conference newbs together? Should there be a trophy between these two and if so, what do you think it should be like?

Love it! Make a trophy that is a mix of the 1982 and 1994 National Championship trophy!

Hate it. I wanted (insert school name here) as our rival! If I chose this, I will make sure to post which school I wanted!

There’s a little bad blood from the ‘82 game (He was out of bounds!!!!!), and the ’94 MNC (They gave it to Osborne because he’s retiring!!!!), but I think there’s also much mutual respect.

I’d much rather have you guys than MSU and that ugly-ass ~~7th grade shop class project~~ Land Grant Trophy.

Plus – what a sweet womens V-Ball matchup each year.

I love it

As a Penn State grad I have a special deep seated hatred towards Nebraska football (‘94 Championship, Lawrence Phillips once kicked my dog, etc, etc) but I’m ecstatic over this.

I am fired up to have Nebraska in the Big 10 and especially to have Nebraska as our locked rival every year. Our game is going to rival that other “Game” as the biggest in the B10 season in no time. Probably next year, in fact.

P.S. We don’t play Michigan in ’11 or ’12, so please beat the hell out of them for us. Thanks!

I wasn't crazy about the division setup

I would have preferred to see Neb and PSU in the same division, but PSU is their best option for the alotted preserved rivalry. The AD made a wise choice.
