NCAA Championships: Round two - Day one
Not nearly as many upsets as Thursday, but we did see a few lower seeds move on Friday. Missouri came through for the Big 12, although Oklahoma State failed to represent and dropped their first round game to Georgia Tech.

More games today. I'm looking for a close game with Kansas and UNI. It should also be interesting to see if Villanova comes out stronger than Thursday against St. Mary's. They will need to if they want to win, but with Scottie Reynolds starting, I think they should be ready.
West Virginia will be facing the running Tigers from Columbia, and could be in for a battle. Ther than that, the top seeds are all still in it, at least for today.

Sorry
Post was a bit late. Had issues with being out of town…
Looks like Villanova was maybe not deserving of the #2 seed?

they sat
two of their top scorers, I think…. as a “teaching experience”.
If they’d have lost…. oooeeee!

Villanova is out!
That changes things for a few…
St. Mary’s looked good. I wonder if this could be the year for a mid-major to win it all?

Good for the Panthers
I hear a lot about them on the Des Moines stations, but you can never tell about the MVC teams. Good to see them get a win like that. I just wish that Nebraska or Creighton could get over the hump at some point.
Love the Rock Chalk posts…that’s gotta sting. It’d be like our football team ranked #1 and getting owned. Too bad for those fans.

This one really doesn't matter for most brackets...
Unless you had Kansas winning the whole she-bang, your brackets are probably fine with the Northern Iowa upset. In our pool, everybody had KU as a Final Four team.
It just means everybody is going to suck this year.
