Will anyone want Watson after that miserable bowl performance? I know, I know, it's the players, the O-line, sun spots, etc. etc., but where is the accountability Bo seems to demand of everyone but his offensive coaching staff (and Martinez)? Where is the "every position is open" mentality that supposedly forces the entire team to stretch and grow?
We all get the power of continuity, we all rail at broadcasters that cancel a great show too soon, but five seasons and the best the offensive staff can deliver is what we saw last night? Continuity is only useful when it produces beneficial results. Continuity for the sake of continuity is like having meetings for the sake of meetings, arguing for the sake of arguing, mistaking activity for productivity....you get the point - all bad ideas.
Either the offensive staff isn't meshing with Bo or they just aren't up to the task, but whatever the reason is from an outsiders perspective it sure seems like it's at least time for some tough love, perhaps a parting of the ways. Anymore I don't think that qualifies as a knee-jerk uninformed reaction, just an obvious observation. The question is, can Bo direct his tough guy persona to address this most onerous of coaching tasks?
