The bowl season smorgasbord starts starts bringing out the entrees tonight with two games:
Champs Sports Bowl, 5:30 PM CST
#22 West Virginia vs. North Carolina State
Lame duck Mountaineer head coach Bill Stewart takes on North Carolina State and quarterback Russell Wilson
Insight Bowl, 9 pm CST
#12 Missouri vs. Iowa
The chirpy school with the Black and Gold uniforms from our past meet up with the chirpy school with Black and Gold uniforms from our future. The big difference is that Missouri finished up their regular season strong after getting run over by the Huskers, while Iowa's season went into the tank in November, culminating by losing to Minnesota and Kevin Cosgrove.
Oh, and thanks to the blizzard out east on Sunday, we also have
SundayTuesday Night Football, 7:15 PM CST
Minnesota vs. Philadelphia
Third week in a row for scheduling rearrangements for the Vikings. And at last report, Brett Favre is inactive for tonight, but as we all know, wait until the official announcement an hour before kickoff. This one might be important for your fantasy team in the playoffs. (Your league isn't one of those wimpy ones that only goes 16 weeks during a 17 week season, right?)

Stewart will coach for another season, then Holgorsen takes over, so it’s not like they fired Stewart.
I don’t pretend to understand that situation either. Sounds like gutlessness to me.

Looks like my hate for Iowa is stronger than my hate for Mizzou. As a husker in Des Moines, I have to cheer for the BigXII tonight. What about the rest of you? Cheering for BigXII or Big10 tonight?

I think it goes back to 1981 Iowa game….. or maybe it’s the many many friends I’ve had from Iowa, most of whom hated the Hawks as well. Maybe It’s the idea they’re like Missouri – never win championships, but talk like they do.

Santa-Hubby bought me my very first HD TV. I hooked it up, then found out I now have to get a new receiver-DVR thingy to get hi-def. And they can’t install it until after the New Year.
Bummer, but I suppose Bebee had something to do with the delay!

Ya, we had 3 "proven" sophomore RBs to start the season
AIRBHG really messed with us this year.
One never made it to the regular season (and is transfering), one tore his 2nd ACL in as many years (and is transfering), and finally, one received two concussions during the season, got suspended before the bowl game and subsequently flirted with Mary Jane and got arrested (and based on pure speculation, with no evidence to support it – possibly getting kicked off the team).
Can’t say it looks good from a PR standpoint.

On top of the booing Dan Beebe got when he was introduced, a loss to the conference that pilfered his own can’t help his mood, much.
I rooted for Mizzou. Screw Iowa, and screw the Big Ten. I never wanted to go in the first place. Yeah, I know, I should be excited, seeing as how I’m part of the young Husker fan generation. Hell, I attend UNL right now, this would be great for me academically.
But, honestly, I stopped giving a damn about how outside things affect my academics, and I’m a sucker for tradition. It was a very sad day for me when Nebraska officially moved. I know it was necessary, because the Big 12 was ran by idiots, but it sucks. I wish the Big 8 never added the Texas teams. Things were simpler and more enjoyable then.
I will never root for the Big Ten in anything now. I used to be indifferent, but now, I hate them, I hate them because I never wanted us to join in the first place.
