The most wonderful time of the year - Bowl Season! (Oh, come on, even if you want a playoff, you're not going to watch any bowl games and be excited about them?)
Hey, the Humanitarian bowl between Northern Illinois and Fresno State has already started! After that, it's the New Orleans Bowl where Frank Solich's Ohio Bobcats meet the Troy.... whatever their nickname is.
If you're doing nothing tonight but watching college football, stop by and say hello, throw down some Big Ten division names, tell us the latest rumor, what you want for Christmas, or what you're going to do with all that fruit cake!

So did anyone actually stay awake
through the New Mexico Bowl? Every bit as ugly as I thought…Humanitarian’s been interesting so far, but NIU might be one big play away from turning this into a blowout.

Troy scores…. Ohio just got beat to the outside… decent coverage, but the receiver made an excellent play on the ball.
Frank has done okay at Ohio. I’m sure they’re glad to have him. Gone are the days of 0-11, and probably the days that people came to Ohio to watch the band and leave at halftime.

Don’t have Facebook…so new to all of this…but I was also wondering about the head gear.
Haven’t heard an explanation from the announcers.
And now, as I glance back at the TV…looks like Penn State has another NC almost wrapped up.
And it just dawned on me…was I supposed to be rooting for PSU, our future B1G compatriot?
Nah…Ain’t gonna happen.

Hey, Girl!
Who’s getting 120 pumpkin muffins?
Baked goods
are always an excellent choice. This week I’ll be making pounds of chocolate candies, mainly because flour and I have never gotten along.
This will drive the guys here nuts, but I’m going to share a recipe that tastes just like Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies, and is so easy.
Slowly melt a 16-oz. pkg. of chocolate bark. Add 1 capful of peppermint extract and a half-teaspoon of Crisco. (The little bit of Crisco adds a sheen to the cookies). Dip individual Ritz crackers into it (I use a fork under each cracker) and transfer to a waxed paper covered cookie sheet to cool. Really easy, and very good.
