Concession Stand at Jack Trice with NU Connections
Some of you might know I'm a Nebraska alum who currently serves as the campus pastor at University Lutheran Center, Iowa State University. We run one of the concession stands on the west side of Jack Trice Stadium to support travel opportunities for our students over the spring, summer and winter break periods. (That's me above, channeling my inner Forcier during a game earlier this season.)
If you're needing a soda, nachos, popcorn or other simple fare at the game on Saturday, we can hook you up! We're also the only stand on the west side that serves soft-serve ice cream - if the weather's nice, you can get a "Clone Cone!" Sure, it's super-spendy, but so's everything at the football stadium - why not help a good cause with Nebraska ties while you're at it?You'll be supporting the chance for our students to go to Guatemala this spring break for an immersion experience with local folks. This is not a "convert-the-heathens" mission trip (we don't do that), but a chance to meet new friends, learn about a different culture and serve wherever we can help. We also provide student opportunities for leadership conferences and make connections with Lutheran campus ministries across the country with the funds we raise at our concession stand.
I won't be working this week - I'll be attending the game with family. BUT if you're at the game, and you're going to get something at the concession stand anyway, look for the "Victory Bell" stand on the west side concourse, south of the press box, just across from the frozen lemonade and walking tacos ministands. Tell them Pastor Scott sent you and you'll get a big smile - I promise!

Maybe You Could...
Sneak in a box of Runzas and Valentino’s pizza and hide it under the counter for Husker fans only.

Great to hear
that you’ll be able to attend the game. Being employed by ISU, will you be able to wear the scarlet and cream?
Since I'm employed AT ISU, not BY ISU,
I can wear whatever I want. Which will definitely be scarlet and cream. We have a deal that the Sunday morning after the ISU-NU game, I wear the winner’s colors. Last year was painful, to say the least.

Completely different kind of heathens,
and much harder to convert to a Husker way of thinking…
