Better on the road?

Remember the painful, not-too-distant past when Nebraska was a bad road team? This seems like the nastiest Husker team since the 90's. They LIKE a big, hostile crowd. They like being the villains, knowing fans of opposing Big XII teams can't tell their sad little kids "It's okay, son. We'll get 'em next year."

They're the dark man waiting in the desert for the Big XII. They're William Tecumseh Sherman, burning a swath through enemy territory, razing houses and twisting railroads, creating a generation of people who will hate them forever, because that's what total victory is.

This team seems less concerned with keeping their own home folks happy than with crushing the spirits of their hosts. That's some viking $#!* right there. It's almost enough to make me wish the Texas game was in Austin, to keep this ruthless edge up.

"A furore Normanorum, libera nos Domine" (From the fury of the North-men, O God deliver us.)
