Awesome play
But Suh almost got caught looking like a tool, celebrating before he got to the endzone, Leon Lett-style. Gotta be careful about that, bud.
I was thinking that myself...
But great game nonetheless. If you follow a link after the clip, you can see the 2 sacks he had against McNabb. The second one was frickin’ sweet.
Extend Jared Dudley!
And they said
That the Rams shouldn’t draft Suh because a DT can’t win you games…

What’s the story with Suh – beyond the couple highlights we’ve seen? Is he performing as they predicted and is Detroit getting their money’s worth with him?
(I follow absolutely ZERO nfl, by the way)
Yup

Dominating?
He looked like he got manhandled and he was about 8 yards from the QB. I don’t think that was a dominating play. As a matter of fact he got manhandled on that play.
No one wins every play.
If Suh gets turned back and doesn’t see an advantage, he drops back to play the pass (see INT). No sense running into a wall if you’re not going to be able break through it.
Suh is first among rookie DT in tackles (27), sacks (6.5), pass break-ups (2), INTs (1), and 2nd in fumble recoveries (1) which was returned for a TD (only rookie to do that). Overall, Suh is top 20 in tackles, 1st among DTs and T-3rd among all defensive lineman. He’s 1 of 12 d-lineman with an INT and 1 of 6 DTs. He’s 1 of 2 DTs with a fumble return score.
He’s seen more than his fair share of double teams and has still been remarkably successful. He’s been pretty good at pushing the pocket and creating pressure even when he hasn’t gotten to the ball carrier.
Suh has dominated. If he isn’t a Pro-Bowler it would be a travesty.
Extend Jared Dudley!
Lighten up dude
I was talking about that play. Man, defensive aren’t we? And that pick, well come on? He never got 1 yard of pressure against a very mediocre ram line, and mediocre is being very nice
