Nebraska wins, Texas loses, and Oklahoma meets Missouri this evening.
Me? I'm rooting for Missouri. I want us to meet the best Missouri team ever next week. If we're going to win the Big 12 North, let's win it. Let's play the best. I don't want the Huskers to back into a Big 12 Championship game because the south beat a north team.

What’s the verdict on defense? Were we just flat? Obviously OSU is the best offense in the Big 12 this year, but wow, 41 points is kinda mind blowing.

I think OSU has a good Offense
Very well coached, and NU made adjustments at the half.
Impressed with Martinez through the air. Very few teams will be able to stop him from throwing and passing. Yes Texas was one of them, and they were helped with NU miscues.

Great game. I just got home from it and my voice is absolutely wrecked. Y’all had a good road crowd there as usual, and I had some great conversations with the group of 4 Huskers that were sitting in front of me.
That was one of the more entertaining first halves of football I have seen in a while. I have to assume the back and forth action entertained the national audience. I can’t believe some of the passes Martinez was tossing. I did not know he had that much throwing ability in him. A lot of those were tough reads, and even tougher passes… he has a real nice touch. He is an excellent QB now, but he is going to be scary good in a couple of years.
Anyway, outside of the scoreboard and all the missed tackles by both defenses, I enjoyed it. Good luck the rest of the way, and I’m keeping the fingers crossed for a rematch in early December.

With our questionable performances at home this year, I propose that all of the season ticket holding fans must give them to all of us stay-at-home-fans for the Missouri game. You know, shake things up at memorial stadium, change the Karma thing.

I now repeat my call
for every “sit on my hands, I’m old, I don’t really understand the game but my grandparents willed these tickets to me, I’ve been at every Husker game for 50 years” ticket holder to make the switch this weekend. Give us poor folks a chance…we people who live and die by the Huskers, but can’t either afford season tickets, or the extra “costs” that go along with them. For one game, let’s make the switch on who occupies those revered seats…lord Knows you current occupants have not brought the home-game advantage this year that we’ve enjoyed for decades. I promise, we’ll bring more vitality and noise than you have this year. A switch is needed, and this is the game.
Already looking ahead
It was great to see Huskers come out and win a shoot-out; the healing process begins! As I consider the days event, it dawns on me that the (not so) mighty Cyclones accomplished something today that our beloved Huskers could not during its Big XII era . . . beat the team from Austin. I guess thats part of the beauty of College Football . . . the surprises. My son & I assessed Mizzou and A&M to be biggest roadblocks to North championship – but Cyclones seem to pull off a surprise (but hopefully not 2) every year. How about them Baylor Bears??
