NU - Creampuff schedules hurt teams

Well, I guess that pretty much sums it up. NU hadn't played anybody worth a damn all year...then when the first team with a pulse came calling, they beat NU in their own place.

I hate creampuff schedules, absolutely hate 'em. Do you think NU's garbage nonconf schedule prepared them, at all, for Texas?  Reminds me of Texas before the UCLA game..."only giving up 44 rushing yards a game!". Yeah, but against who? Those Texas boys took their lumps from UCLA/OU...and I think UT owes those teams a debt of gratitude for toughening them up.

I guess NU had most of the pollsters fooled, judging by the lofty #5 ranking. NU has some work to do, but it's possible to overcome losses like this. In fact the loss to Texas can only help toughen them up, and they sure need it.
