Nebraska Rising - Huskers Up To #5 AP, #4 Coaches
Nebraska rose in both the major college football polls released today, largely thanks to Alabama's upset loss to South Carolina (hyuk!).
The Huskers are #5 in the current AP poll, and #4 in the Coaches poll, up from #7 and #6, the week before, respectively. Nebraska received two first-place votes in the Coaches Poll.
Ohio State, Oregon, Boise State, and TCU are ahead of the Huskers in the AP, while Nebraska is ranked ahead of TCU in the Coaches poll.
Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Missouri are the only Big 12 teams ranked this week.

Perhaps more importantly...
Nebraska jumped to 6th in the Sagarin computer rankings. Why is that important? Simple…the computers have hated the Huskers so far this season because of the non-conference schedule. Last week, Nebraska barely was in the Top 20. In the Massey ratings, the Huskers jumped 16 spots to 8th.
I think Nebraska's ranked too high right now
But we’re just starting to get to the point where rankings matter, so I’ll take it.
Slow team Fast team
Usually I would say we are ranked too high as well, but this year with Boise and TCU I’m glad we are in a position to jump them. Other than that, I think we learned that when we play a slow team, we have the ability to smash them. However against a fast defense, we’ll see. I’m just glad our defense is great.

Hell yeah! These Huskers are fun to watch! I want a brutal beatdown of Texas…
