Gouged For Live Event Tickets? - More May Be Coming
David Max of Huskerpedia asked me to post a notice on CN about the possible merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation, and to create an awareness that maybe said merger should be stopped. He pointed out that he paid nearly $10 per ticket online surcharge for Holiday Bowl tickets, and if the merger goes through, things will probably get worse.
I'll admit - this isn't that big an issue with me, mostly because I don't get out much. I thought that'd change last year - that it would be the year I'd get to more athletic events, and maybe a couple of concerts. Nope. Didn't happen. Too much work to do, and too many $$$ being funneled into raising three kids (btw, is sawdust considered a safe additive for jello? because I keep thinking that 17-year olds could digest it pretty easily and it's cheaper than chips and salsa). If I go out to see live music, I'm typically going to see a bar band, or lesser-known bands with a group of teenagers.
I know all y'all get out more than I do. What I'd like to know - is this an issue for you? Is the gouging that's going on keeping you from attending more events? Can you explain this more than I can?

I would
love to attend a Husker game in Lincoln. Living in western S.D. makes it kinda hard. What does a ticket even cost for a home game? Oh yea, sawdust WILL NOT hurt anyone younger than 20,,,I think
