CBS Sports Blog Poll Top 25 Ballot #2 - Feedback Required!
The biggest question of the week - how far should Oklahoma fall after their loss to BYU? How good is Oklahoma without Sam Bradford? How horrible is the Sooners' offensive line? Do I drop them further?
I did not drop Virginia Tech very far after their loss to Alabama. First of all, they looked better on offense than I expected. Second, they had the guts to schedule the game in the first place and that counts for something in my book. Note also that I did not move Texas up, still penalizing them for an embarrassingly week non-conference schedule that shows the gutlessness of their athletic department.
It's no longer a question of whether or not Notre Dame should be ranked - it's a matter of where.
It's a little difficult to justify ranking Nebraska and Kansas, but not Missouri after the first two beat up on lesser opponents and Missouri beat up on a BCS conference team, even if they're coached by Ron Zook, who sucks.
Ballot is after the jump. As always, feedback is required!

"Note also that I did not move Texas up, still penalizing them for an embarrassingly week non-conference schedule that shows the gutlessness of their athletic department."
To be fair to the athletic department, they scheduled Arkansas until Arkansas decided to play A&M instead and asked to be let out of the game.
not bad but
I would move Okie State ahead of Ole Miss, hey they beat a top 15 team by two touchdowns. Next I would have flipped flopped LSU and BYU seeing how one of the teams won on the road against the #3 team in the nation and the other one nearly choked against an unranked team that failed to win a game last year. Other than that I like the way the ballot looks even if I question moving Alabama ahead of USC and Texas. I especially like where you have put the three Big XII north teams at #s 20, 19,18 respectively. Looks like the Big XII could be more than a one division conference after all.
Like the poll! And here're the obligatory thoughts/mandatory feedback.
Like the ‘Bama bump. Wouldn’t’ve really thought of it, but seeing them up there seems like a good call after week one. I like surprises and I like your call.
Like Missou in there…maybe they’d be higher? They looked pretty sharp.
I don’t know if Ohio State deserves to move up even if to fill a void. They struggled. I liked ‘em better back at 11.
I agree with HuskerPhil that I’d’ve left LSU in place and not let ‘em slide up.
Is Clemson too high? I dunno. I (probably a complete overreaction) like BYU in their slot and maybe Clemson at 18?
Weirdly, I’m not sure I’d put Nebraska and Kansas up 5 each…I’d like to, but I can’t tell based on level of opposition they faced on Sat. What I’m saying is, I hope so, but I’m a fan and I’ve gotta try to put my enthusiasm in perspective (and protect the ol’ ego at the same time).
Yeah, ND’s in, maybe 23?
And yeah, Miami…maybe 21?
Seriously liked (overall) what I saw outta the Big XII in week one.
GBR!
its hard to judge in the first week
Though having clemson that high was surprised. Was surprised bout mizzou being that low ( I piece of me just died ) and ohio state moving up after almost Lossing? Other than that its real hard to be fair after only I week. This week will really give us a better idea

here's what I went with
dropped Oregon State out, replaced them with Cincy over Cincy’s demolition of Rutgers. Swapped Ole Miss with Okie State, moved Ohio State back to where they were… (Correct on struggling to beat Navy)….
I’d post an update, but the HTML didn’t work properly.

I’m really curious to see if the acc and mid ten continues to struggle. Will that penalize teams that are doing well that don’t really have the name say like michagan st or ga tech. Or will they get overlooked because they are in a week conference while osu and clemson gets a benefit of a doubt
