CBS Sports Blog Poll Top 25 Ballot #5 - Final Ballot

I made some changes to my final ballot, the most notable of which was adding Houston back in after missing them the first time around (no excuse for that).

Also moved some other teams around. It's amazing what happens with a slight change in the poll, if you forget a team (as I did), or get someone out of place, re-shuffling can be quite interesting. Throw one team in there and suddenly you're trying to make sure they're in the exact right place, then move another and suddenly Iowa is in front of Nebraska or something hideous like that..... or maybe Iowa belongs in front of Nebraska because they went on the road and beat a highly ranked team.... but Penn State didn't really deserve their ranking in the first place, while Virginia Tech's stomping of Miami proved that they could at least beat a team with some speed. See all the angst and frustration that this can cause?

Not bad at all

I think that’s about as well as you could have ranked them this week. It’s like an ethical dilemma; there are no right answers (but there are definitely some wrong ones).

oregon beat utah and cal… barely lost to boise.. should be up there. I mean you got us at 14 for should have beating VTech, and beating 3 nobody’s. So almost beating Boise, and beating Utah and Cal is a better resume IMO.

Just nitpicking.

I thought about it

but watching Oregon against Boise was incredibly painful. Oregon looked lost, timid, wretched… insert all your feeble football adjectives here …. and I want to see what they do next week before they move up.

Anarchy! That’s what it’s been. Maybe if things settle down…..

I think that's a pretty

damned compelling top 25!

With a pretty interesting Oregon argument in the comments section to boot.

That’s why I like this CornNation!
