Interesting recruits that are visiting this weekend

There are 7 reported recruits visiting this weekend and two of the most intriguing ones are Chase Harper - a four star juco TE and Chase Rome  - a four star de/dt recruit that is committed to Okie State.  Chase Harper has stated that if he likes his visit that he will go ahead and commit.  Now the coaching staff has not hit the juco's very hard preferring to develop his players and has only gotten a few in his short time here.

What also makes this offer even more surprising is that of all the postions that we would offer a juco too would be tight end.  We have a junior in McNeill and four other tight ends trying to get playing time.  So either this guy will be very good and will push for playing time or the staff will move him to another postion.  Standing at 6'6 at weighs 248 his size and measurables are very desirable though so he definitely looks the part.  Only time will tell if and when he will land up if he does sign.

Star-divide

Chase Rome has already verbally commited to Oklahoma State but this will be his second visit  after being at a summer camp in Nebraska so there seems to be some interest in Nebraska.  Having Ndamukong Suh just dominate at times this year and Glenn Dorsey playing bigtime in LSU, its a known fact that Pelini can coach d line players.  This has to help immensely in trying to get players that want to play in the NFL some day.  Knowing this will have to least play in the mind of Rome which stands to reason why he is here this weekend.  Also Okie St has, to put it nicely, stunk it up on the defense side of the ball for quite a few years.  You have to go back a while to see when the last  time they had a decent defense and that has to be playing in his mind.

His measurables absolutely make you giggle like a husker fan drinking kool aid - 6'3" 290 -  runs a 4.7 which is just wrong for a guy that size.  He also has a bench max of 400 and just like most of the recruits Bo has brought in has a solid grade point avg.  He could very well wind up inside where you can never have too many people, because the more fresh bodies you can throw at the offense the faster that o-line will wear down.  Kinda of like the more times the wife yells at you the faster you do something just so she doesn't yell at you.  So I have been told by my ex (by the way marriage is evil and should not be taken without consulting a doctor )
